Jammu, March 23
Director General of Police (DGP) SP Vaid has sanctioned the DGP’s special reward with a commendation certificate in favour of 13 wards of serving police personnel who have secured above 80 per cent marks in the annual examination of Classes X and XII during the academic session 2016-17.
An amount of Rs 56,600 has been sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare Fund for these students.
The wards of serving police personnel who have been granted scholarships are Aryaman Parihar, Midhat Hassan, Arman Khan, Gourav Bhau, Khalid Riyaz, Damini Sharma, Mehak Manzoor, Faizan Rashid Bhat, Shally Sharma, Ashina Imtiyaz, Shakshi Sharma, Riya Sharma and Maher-Ul-Nisa.
The police headquarters has been sanctioning scholarships and rewards for wards of martyred and serving police personnel under different schemes to boost their morale.
