Doda residents block Kishtwar-Chatroo road

Transporters and locals of Bhandarkote today continued their protest against the dilapidated condition of the Kishtwar-Chatroo road.
Protesters were demanding macadamisation of the stretch.
“The 12-km road stretch between Kishtwar to Bhandarkote is in the worst condition since long and needs immediate repair but despite heaving transport minister from the region, no heed has been paid to our problems,” a local said.
At around 9 am this morning, transporters along with locals blocked the highway and raised slogans against the government and the department concerned, which resulted in a massive traffic jam on the road.
