The Amateur Theatre Group(ATG) will pay a tribute to legendary playwright Girish Karnad by producing his play ‘Bali’ in Dogri language across the country.

The group director, Mushtaq Kak, said since many theatre groups in Jammu and across the country have regularly been producing great works of Girish Karnad on stage, the ATG had decided to pay tribute to the departed soul by performing his play ‘Bali’ in Dogri version.

The play will be designed and directed by Mushtaq Kak, Sangeeet Natak Academy awardee and former director Shri Ram Centre for Performing arts, New Delhi. Dogri version of the play is being rendered by Rajehwar Singh Raju.

Mushtaq Kak said after opening its first show in the first week of January in Jammu, the play will first be staged in Amritsar and Chandigarh and later across India.
