Guru Hargobind’s birth anniversary declared holiday

Srinagar: The government holiday on account of Guru Hargobind’s birth anniversary shall be observed on June 10 instead of July 5. A formal order in this regard, in partial modification of the earlier government order, was issued on Friday by the General Administration Department of the government, an official spokesman said. The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
