Hindi Media Cricket Club (HMCC) got the better of Sterlite Cricket Club (SCC) by 20 runs in the final to clinch the first Media XI T-20 triangular series organised by the Media XI Cricket Club at GGM Science College Ground here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, the HMCC accumulated 132 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Romi was the top scorer with 44 runs that came off 27 balls.
For the SCC, Shakeel Ahmed grabbed three wickets. Chasing 133 runs to win, the SCC could manage 112 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
Sunil of the HMCC was declared the man of the match for his all-round performance and was also adjudged the best batsman of the series. Taqdeer Singh Badal from the MHCC was declared as the highest wicket-taker.
