Jammu, September 4
The Indian Red Cross Society organised first aid training to the employees of the HPCL at airport in Jammu.
Highlights of the training revolved around first aid kit, traumas, accidents, transportation of injured, management of bleeding, fracture, shock, heart attack and how to do cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Dr Shelly Mahajan, MD, Anaesthesia, and Dr Kavita Nijhon, medical officer, IRCS, demonstrated keeping in mind how to handle fainting and unconscious patient. Practical of CPR/ choking was done with active participation of all participants. Doctors were assisted by Kanchan Devi, pharmacist, and Vironica Marwah, field officer. — TNS
