A 22-year-old girl from Jammu, Karishma Bajgal, has been chosen by Shauqeen Recorders Production for a web series in Dogri to be aired on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

It is for the first time that both Netflix streaming and Amazon Prime have agreed to air a Dogri web series if the production — ‘Mittrochari’( friendship) — receives the required number of viewers on social media. Sachin Sharma, production controller of the series, said after talks with both service providers, the authorities agreed to upload the web series.

Talking to The Tribune, an elated Karishma said,”Three episodes have already been shot and the remaining will be completed within a month.” However, she did not share the story as per the rules of the service providers.

Recently, she was selected for the ‘Best Actor Award’ by Delhi-based Talent Art Trust of Crime Alert series, which will be given to her at Teachers Bhavan on July 2.
