Srinagar, November 28
The Khyber Himalayan Resort and Spa, Gulmarg, has won the award for the Favourite Boutique Hotel at the seventh edition of the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards.
A statement issued by the Khyber group today said the award was received in New Delhi on Monday evening and it was conferred for the fifth straight year on the resort.
The hotel, popular with high-end tourists, is located in north Kashmir’s ski resort Gulmarg at an elevation of 8,825 feet in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas. Spread over seven acres in a pristine pine valley, the 85-key resort, clad in timber and stone, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped Apharwat peaks.
“Being selected once again as the Favourite Boutique Hotel-India (2017) reaffirms the traveller’s belief in our resort. It is a gratifying moment for the Khyber team,” said Umar Tramboo, MD, Pinnacle Resorts Pvt Ltd and promoter of the resort.
