Mehbooba visits slain PDP worker’s family

Former Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti visited the residence of a party worker who was recently shot dead by militants in the city.

The former Chief Minister was accompanied by senior leaders and legislators of the party as she visited the residence of Mohammad Amin Dar at Gangbugh, according to the party spokesman. The other PDP leaders who visited Dar’s residence included former minister Ghulam Nabi Lone and Naeem Akhtar, Sonawar MLA Mohammad Ashraf Mir and MLC Khurshid Alam. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
