MLA inaugurates hotel at Sonamarg

Country Inn and Suites by Mushtaq Group of Hotels and Resorts was inaugurated on Monday by Kangan MLA Mian Altaf at the tourist resort of Sonamarg on the Kashmir-Ladakh axis.

The inauguration of the luxury hotel is expected to give a fillip to high-end tourism in the Kashmir valley. The hotel provides a panaromic view of Sonamarg – known as the ‘golden meadow’ of Kashmir. The tourism resort also attracts adventure tourists.

A statement issued by the J&K Hoteliers Club said stakeholders of the tourism and trade industry were present on the occasion.

Club secretary general Tariq Rashid Ghani congratulated the chairman of the club, Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, for his new venture at Sonamarg. The members of the club along with its chapter presidents and secretaries of Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Jammu were present on the occasion.

The club also presented mementos to chief guests Mian Altaf and Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya.
