Over 150 students take part in IIT sports fest
Jammu, May 2
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jammu campus, celebrated its first sports fest ‘Convoquer’.
More than 150 students showcased their skills in seven disciplines during the fest.
The mechanical team bagged the first prize in cricket and badminton, electrical in volleyball and badminton; and the computer science team in basketball, chess and table tennis.
Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT, Jammu, presented the winners’ trophy to the computer science team led by Himanshu Kejriwal while Shreyansh Pandey of the electrical team was adjudged player of the tournament. — TNS
