Pension scheme gets poor response

While efforts are afoot by the state administration to enrol workers of the unorganised sector under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Yojana (PMSYMY) providing old age security, less encouraging response is coming from the people. The scheme, which includes enrolment of people from the age group of 18-40 years for pension after attaining the age of 60, has many components in different age categories and is a contributory scheme on 50:50 basis. — TNS
