Srinagar: Two days after the police blamed Lashkar-e-Toiba for the killing of senior journalist Shujaat Bukhari, the outfit chief said the police version "resembles some Bollywood thriller". In a statement issued to a Srinagar-based news agency, LeT spokesperson quoted Lashkar chief Mehmood Shah as saying, "for the past few days, two stories were released. The first was a drama story released by the Army regarding the 'surgical strikes'; the second one was no less than a Bollywood thriller and was released by the J&K Police regarding Bukhari’s assassination." After his killing on Eid eve, militant groups condemned the murder and instead blamed "Indian agencies". However, the police on Thursday said the conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan and was executed by three south Kashmir-based Lashkar militants. TNS
