Srinagar, May 24

His Highness Prince Yakub Habeebuddin Tucy, a descendant of Mughal emperor Babur, called on Governor NN Vohra here today.

Prince Tucy apprised the Governor of his views on the current situation in Kashmir and restoration of peace and normalcy by organising planned public contact programmes. He sought the Governor’s intervention in the constitution of a Madrassa Board in J&K and involvement of various NGOs for helping youth find better employment avenues.

The Governor appreciated Prince Tucy’s tours and lectures at various places in Rajouri and Poonch districts and his efforts towards the restoration of normalcy in the state.

Vohra urged Prince Tucy to continue his honest endeavours towards the country’s development and promised him all support.
