Ranjeet Kalra appointed Sports Adviser to Lakshadweep govt

Ace sports administrator and former national cricketer from Jammu Ranjeet Kalra has been appointed as an Adviser for sports to the Government of Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
The order in this regard was issued by the Lieutenant Governor/Administrator of Lakshadweep, Farooq Khan, today. Ranjeet Kalra is a former national cricketer and presently the member of the BCCI and a member of the J&K State Sports Council headed by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. Kalra has an experience of more than 15 years in active sports and later, around 16 years in sports administration. In addition to this, he also serves as a special invitee on the governing council of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Sports Complex, Katra, along with Arjuna Awardee Ashwani Nachhappa and Olympians Sanjeeva Singh and Sanresh Jang. —TNS
