BJP changes strategy
Worried over mounting anger against the failure of BJP ministers to assert themselves before the coalition ally PDP, the saffron party has authorised its spokespersons to counter the government on controversial issues. The BJP leadership has realised that defending the contentious decisions of the coalition government could prove disastrous for the party in the elections so it has asked its spokespersons to challenge these wherever required. On Saturday morning, all spokespersons but one, jointly addressed a press conference to raise various issues to deliver a message to its cadre. Chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi addressed the press conference which was attended by Brig (retd) Anil Gupta, Arun Gupta and SS Bijral, all spokespersons of the party. Dinesh Manhotra
