The Army provided food and accommodation to Srinagar-bound stranded passengers in the Bathindi area of Jammu on Monday.

According to a defence spokesman, the Tiger Division of the Army provided food supplies to around 1,000 people for three days to stranded passengers.

The Army assured passengers of their safety, he said.

“During the last one week, the Army helped a large number of stranded passengers in Jammu city by providing food and place to stay with the support of locals. It also arranged transport facilities for them. People thanked the Army for timely assistance and for ensuring their safety,” the spokesman added.
