Popular Kashmir-based bands Parvaaz and Alif will be performing at a Sufi concert – “Saaz-e-Sufi” on Sunday at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) on the banks of the Dal Lake.
The event is being organised by the Miraas Events and Film Production and a Sufi dance is also scheduled at the event. “Top two Kashmir-based bands Parvaaz and Alif will be performing in this Sufi concert. There will be also a Sufi dance by a Sufi group in the event. This event will be a great initiative in relaxing people of the Valley mentally as both bands have a very soulful connection with the people of the Valley,” said an organiser of the event.
Well-known actor and model Karan Tacker will also be seen at the programme.
This is for the first time that a show featuring Parvaaz and Alif will see both bands performing together.
The SKICC of late has been holding musical shows regularly. Well-known singer Adnan Sami had performed at the SKICC recently. Prior to that a concert by singer Abha Hanjura — ‘Saaz-e-Kashmir’ too had been held at the venue.
Even as both concerts were ‘by invitation’ only, tickets for Saaz-e-Sufi have been set up for sale for the general public at several places in the summer capital.
