Aim for Chevening-2018
The application window for UK’s prestigious and fully-funded Chevening scholarship and fellowship programmes is now open. This prestigious scholarship programme offers an opportunity to bright Indian students and young professionals to join the 2,500-strong body of Indian alumni.
Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, Chevening offers two types of awards — Chevening Scholarships and Chevening Fellowships — the recipients of which are personally selected by British Embassies and High Commissions around the world through a rigorous selection process.

Chevening Scholarships
Chevening Scholarships are awarded to outstanding and emerging leaders to pursue a one-year master’s at any UK university. It offers financial support along with the opportunity to become part of the highly regarded and influential Chevening global network. Applicants from India can choose any course of study, but applicants from the field of energy security, climate change, urban development, defence, security, foreign policy, trade and investment, economic reforms as well as research and innovation are encouraged.

Chevening Fellowships
The Chevening Fellowships are customised, professional development programmes designed for mid-to-senior level professionals who want to expand their knowledge and expertise in their specific field of work. The programmes are tailored, short-term courses which usually run for 8-12 weeks at a designated UK university. Applications for the following fellowships are set to open from August 7 until September 27:
The Chevening Cyber Security Fellowship
This Fellowship is aimed at mid-career Indian professionals with demonstrable leadership potential in the field of cyber security or cyber policy in India. Six fellows are sent every year to the UK for a ten-week fully-funded residential programme delivered at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at Cranfield University

The Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Leadership Fellowship (CRISP):
The Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Leadership Fellowship (CRISP) started in 2011 and has since run in partnership with Rolls Royce. The ten-week programme is designed for high-calibre mid-career professionals and is delivered at St. Cross College, University of Oxford.

The Chevening South Asia Journalism Fellowship Programme:
This Fellowship programme is designed for promising journalists from South Asia.
The eight-week fully funded residential programme at the University of Westminster is customised for future media leaders and opinion formers working in the areas of political, economic and business journalism in India. The programme focuses on good governance in a changing world: media, politics and society.

The Chevening Standard Chartered Financial Services Fellowship
This Fellowship is customised to build expertise in specialist skills such as risk management, actuarial sciences, investment management and financial regulation.
