IndianOil Deakin University Research Fellowship
The IndianOil Corporation Limited-R&D Centre, India and Deakin University, Australia, are inviting applications for two IndianOil – Deakin University Research Fellowships and two IOC-DBT–Deakin Fellowships to work in areas of Lubricant Technology (1 vacancy), Tribology (1 vacancy) and Biotechnology (2 Vacancies).
Duration: Four years
Eligibility: The applicants shold have a master’s (MSc.) degree in chemistry (Organic/ Inorganic/ Physical/ Analytical), biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry or related sciences and MTech in biotechnology, mechanical engineering or tribology with valid GATE Scores (>75 percentile) from recognised university.
First class in graduation and post-graduation level (65% or above marks in the final exams/ equivalent CGPA).
Candidates with master’s degree should have valid CSIR-UGC NET or DBT-BET qualification and meet requirements for JRF or DST-Inspire Fellowship.
Candidates with eligible English language scores (IELTS/TOEFL/ CPE/ CAE/ PTE or OET; IELTS score overall 6.5 with no band < than 6) will be preferred for enrolment into Deakin.
Details: The selected candidates will be registered for PhD at Deakin University, Australia and receive a 100 per cent tuition fee waiver inclusive of one-time visit to Deakin University, Australia for six months.
IOCL will offer a fellowship amount for the period of study in India, which will be 25 per cent more than that offered under CSIR/UGC Research Fellowship scheme.

Education scheme for SC students
In order to financially support students belonging to SC category, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has introduced the scholarship scheme for continuity of higher education after Class XII.
Eligibility: Under-graduate students who have secured a seat in BTech, MBBS, MBA, MD, MS, LLB, LLM from any recognised institute and are in first year of the programme with family income not more than Rs 4.5 lakh annually from all sources, are eligible to apply.
Details: Candidate will be awarded with full tuition fee and non-refundable charges of Rs 2 lakh p.a. for studying in private sector institution, Rs 3.72 lakh p.a. for the private sector flying clubs for commercial pilot training, Rs 2220 p.m. for lodging, Rs 3000 p.a. for stationery expenses and Rs 45,000 for computer and accessories.

Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship
Passion driven individuals who are interested and motivated to educate children in remote areas of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttarakhand are provided opportunity by Azim Premji Foundation to contribute back to society with education.
Eligibility: Candidate must have a regular post- graduate degree or professional degree, BTech., MBA or equivalent in any discipline with 3- 10 years of work experience and must be proficient in Hindi, Kannad, Tamil or Telugu.

National Girl Child Secondary Education Scholarship Scheme
The Department of School Education and Literacy has introduced this scholarship scheme with an intent to establish an enabling environment to reduce the drop-outs and to promote the enrolment of girl children, mainly belonging to SC or ST communities in secondary schools.
Eligibility: The applicant must be an unmarried girl, less than 16 years of age as on March 31on joining Class IX. The candidate must be enrolled in Class IX, belonging to SC or ST community. Candidates who have passed Class VIII exam from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, irrespective of whether they belong to SC, ST or not, and enrol in Class IX in a state government, government-aided, and local body schools are eligible to apply.
Details: Rs 3000 will be deposited in the name of eligible unmarried girls as fixed deposits upon enrolment in Class IX who are entitled to withdraw it along with the interest on clearing Class X and attaining 18 years of age.

Girl Child Scholarship Scheme
As many as 300 girl students from economically weaker sections from all across the country will be awarded scholarships by the Science Olympiad.
Eligibility: Girl students who are studying in Class II-X with family income less than Rs 15,000. Candidate must have secured 60 per cent or equivalent in the previous class to be eligible for this scholarship. Marks waiver is available for child with major physical disability.
Details: The selected candidate will be provided Rs 5,000 for a year.
