A film that has been in the news since it went on floors is Saif Ali Khan’s Laal Kaptaan. Starring Saif as a Naga sadhu, the film will showcase his journey. A day after the release date was postponed, Laal Kaptaan’s trailer was released digitally on Monday. While Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in a special appearance in the film, we only get to hear her voice in the trailer. The trailer’s chapter one -The Hunt was just dropped on YouTube and it showcases Saif as a deadly Naga Sadhu.
The trailer opens with a close-up shot of Saif’s forehead. With ash covering his face and a red teeka on his forehead, Saif manages to shake one up with a single look. The trailer shows glimpses of Saif aka the Naga sadhu slaughtering people and dragging them on a horse. We hear Sonakshi calling him Bhole Ka Sipahi (Lord Shiva’s soldier) and then a Bhoot, while Saif can be seen smearing ash on his face.
Directed by Navdeep Singh, the film is slated to release on October 18, 2019.
