Uttarakhand BJP spokesperson Suman Prakash Dhyani has criticised the Harish Rawat government for overlooking the interests of Uttarakhand while signing a memorandum of understanding with Himachal Pradesh on the Kisau Hydropower project.
Dhyani said in the renegotiated agreement, the Himachal Pradesh government got a better deal as the Harish Rawat government agreed to give its 5 per cent share instead of 10 per cent share earlier agreed upon.
“It appears the Harish Rawat government is trying to benefit the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh. It not only gave its 5 per cent share but also renegotiated the Palasu, Tyuni power projects to benefit Himachal Pradesh,” he said.
