A wondrous must-have ingredient in the Indian kitchens, Semolina can be used to make a number of succulent dishes. What’s more, it’ll give you a tempting taste of something both, sweet and salty. Not only is it easy to cook, most people find it easy on the stomach also. So, try this semolina snack with a cup of tea or even as a side dish before your main course meal!

Semolina Cheese Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semolina
  • 2 cups milk
  • 100gms cottage cheese
  • 2 green chillies (chopped)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 4 tbsp maida
  • 8 tbsp water
  • Oil, to fry

Mix it right

Method:

1. Sauté semolina in a pan till light brown.

2. Add ghee, milk, salt and green chilly. Keep cooking until a paste is formed.

3. Keep aside to cool.

4. Mash cottage cheese. Add green chilly, chopped coriander leaves, raisins, amchoor and salt.

5. Mix maida and water and make a batter.

6. Take a little semolina mixture and press it in your hand.

7. Keep a little cottage cheese mixture on it and fold into shape of your choice.

8. Dip it in the maida batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.

9. Serve hot with green chutney.
