CHANDIGARH: Collective Growth XI registered a seven-run victory over Placement Guru XI in a match of the ongoing First SS Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament being held at the cricket ground of Government Model Senior Secondary School in Sector 40 here.

Collective Growth XI registered a seven-run victory over Placement Guru XI in a match of the ongoing First SS Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament being held at the cricket ground of Government Model Senior Secondary School in Sector 40 here.

Collective Growth XI posted a healthy total of 173 runs for 9 wickets with Manoj playing a major role in the team’s win. He scored 69 runs off 35 balls to help his team in achieving the total. He was ably supported by Sunil who contributed 27 off 26 balls and Sandeep who posted 20 off 20 balls. For Placement Guru XI, Manoj was the pick of the day for claiming 3 wickets for 25 runs while Anureet took 2 wickets for 21 runs.

In reply, Placement Guru XI could manage to score only 166 runs in 20 overs with Arsh scoring a quick-fire knock of 91 runs off 56 balls while Rakesh contributed 18 runs off 12 balls. For the bowling side, Sukhwinder claimed 3 wickets for 31 runs and Sunil Kumar took 3wickets for 39 runs.

Sunil Kumar of Collective Growth XI was adjudged the man ofthe match for his overall performance.
