The show is quite grand, so I took it up immediately.

What special training did you take for your character?

Right from sword-fighting, horse-riding, rowing, swimming to underwater training, they transformed me into a fearless princess! It is indeed a lot of hard work.

With whom do you bond the most on the sets?

Shraddha plays my mother’s character, so I bond well with her and also Ashlesha.

Who has been your inspiration?

My family.

You have worked in Mahabharat. How different is a historical show from a mythological show?

In Mahabharat, it was a costume drama, with so much make-up, heavy clothes and big sets. Although Porus is no different, here I represent the Dasyu clan, who are very rugged. So, I wear a dhoti and a kanchuki. I can do anything in this costume.

What are your hobbies?

I love dancing, reading and writing.
