Fittrat seems to be a glamorous and gripping show. How was your experience?

It almost feels like a big-budget movie. I am absolutely enjoying and loving the whole digital web-series experience. Also, I must add, the digital phase is still very fresh and new, some aspects in the background require compromises; unlike big films.

You are sharing the screen space with Krystle Dsouza and Aditya Seal. How do you bond with them?

I have known Aditya for the past two years. He is one of the loveliest people I have met in my life. Speaking of Krystle, I have known her for a long time but met her in person at the sets of Fittrat. The first time I spoke to her was on the sets and I found her just like Aditya. Even off camera, there wasn’t a single moment in which I felt low around them. They are like home for me, as comfortable as having daal-chawal.

Tell us something about your character?

I play Amy, Amrita Sareen. She is the vulnerable type. This character interests me because I am completely different from her. I am loud and daring, so it was a very challenging role for me and at the same time it really helped me tame myself.

Krystle is seen as a gold-digger in the series. How would you react if you had someone like her in your life?

Honestly if someone is a gold-digger and owns up, I am okay with that. My only issue with life is that people aren’t honest. I am not saying that I am perfect, but at least I am honest and if I have a friend, who is a gold digger than it’s her calling.

You take up very selective work...

I am not someone who does something just to prove myself. I choose projects which I feel I can justify. If you can’t give your cent per cent to the show, there is no point taking it up just for the sake of it. I chose this show because it gave me happiness.

How do you see this digital space in terms of growth opportunities?

It is amazing. The digital world has given us the freedom to explore different themes and topics. It’s about telling a story the way you want to. I don’t even remember the last time I went for a movie because there are so many interesting things on the web space.
