Jacqueline Fernandez who last appeared opposite Salman Khan in Race 3 has reportedly signed her next film. The film is said to be the sequel of the hit movie Chashme Baddoor that was released in 2013. It had Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. It also starred Rishi Kapoor and Lillette Dubey in pivotal roles. Interestingly, Chashme Baddoor itself was a remake of Farooq Sheikh and Dipti Naval’s classic film Chashme Buddoor that released in 1981. And now comes a sequel of a remake!
Reports suggest that Jacqueline will play the lead in the film which will be produced by Viacom 18. We hear that the script of the film is in place and the casting for the male lead is underway. Jacqueline was supposed to start Kirik Party but since the film has been pushed ahead indefinitely she will soon be working on Chashme Baddoor 2. She will also be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Drive that is slated to release this June.
