Anaarkali of Aarah in Nepal

Swara Bhaskar’s brave, unabashed and feisty performance of a small-town erotic dancer in her last release Anaarkali of Aarah got her huge critical acclaim and accolades.

The versatile actress has now received an invitation from South Asia Women’s Fund, (a philanthropic organisation committed to empowering women) to attend their convention on July 15, in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The actress will attend the convention and talk about women empowerment and its challenges, followed by a special screening of her film, Anaarkali of Aarah.

Swara says, “I’m very honoured that SAWF has chosen AOA to be showcased at their festival. The film has a universal appeal. Women everywhere know the experience of being harassed, and abuse of power is a universal theme.”
