Badshah to make his acting debut

After delivering chartbuster songs in Bollywood, singer Badshah is all set to make his acting debut.

Reportedly, the rapper will be starring opposite Sonakshi Sinha in debutant director Shilpi Dasgupta’s untitled project. The film also features Varun Sharma, Annu Kapoor, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Nadira Babbar.

Reportedly, Badshah will play the role of a Punjabi singer in the film. Though Badshah admitted that he is a bit nervous about making his acting debut, he is relieved  that he is starring opposite Sonakshi, who is his friend. Says Badshah, “This year I have undertaken many firsts, including my debut as a producer and now as an actor. Bhushanji and Mrigh (producers Bhushan Kumar, Mrighdeep Lamba) convinced me that the role was perfect for me. It’s a unique film and it brings a smile to my face. Getting to work with Sonakshi was like a bonus as she is a dear friend.”
