Actor Zachary Levi, who will be seen playing the role of superhero Shazam, in the upcoming movie by the same name, trained with former Mr. World Canada bodybuilding champion and celebrity nutritionist to get him in shape for the film.

Starting at a weight of approximately 200 pounds, Levi packed on over 20 pounds of muscle by, among other things, lifting weights five or six days a week, often twice per day.  Along with a rigorous workout regime Grant also placed him on a strict diet as well. As part of his diet for five days each week, Levi consumed between 3,000 and 4,000 calories a day. Interestingly as part of his special diet Levi  consumed 35 per cent protein, 55 per cent fat, and a lean 10 per cent carbohydrate with tablespoon of fish oil for “dessert.” While many actors might consider such a regimen punishing and the trainer a super-villain of sorts, Levi did not. Levi said, “Grant Roberts was incredible.”
