The doors of JW Marriott, Chandigarh, will now lead you to 35 Brewhouse, the region’s first microbrewery in a five-star property, putting Chandigarh in the same league as metropolitans like Delhi and Mumbai.

“35 Brewhouse has been conceptualised as a destination that is much more than a brewery, where you could not only have beer, but also brew ‘rich experiences’. Together with the exquisite menu of the Food Truck and the extravagant urban chic setting of The Lounge, 35 Brewhouse has been designed as a dynamic destination that can fit well with the diverse moods of different interest groups among the patrons of the property,” says Dilpreet Singh Bindra, general manager, JW Marriott, Chandigarh.

Beginning from September 7 the hotel will host a three-day party in Tricity to announce the launch of its microbrewery. This party will treat you to a unique mix of activities, ranging from themed DJ parties, live band performances and karaoke bash to exhilarating beer games and an open mic session for budding artistes. It will also host Tricity’s first-ever ‘silent party’.

Prepared with the choicest of malts, hops and yeast, the authentic handcrafted brews are served at 35 Brewhouse in five exciting variants, Indian Pale ale (IPA), German Lager, Hafe-Weizen, Strong Wheat and a Master’s Brew.

“Our beers taste great because they are matured and not filtered as compared to a bottled beer, which is filtered after fermentation. A craft beer is allowed to mature naturally for 18 to 21 days without filtering,” says Kumar Gaurav, brewing consultant, JW Marriott Chandigarh.

The food menu at 35 Brewhouse includes mouth-watering fusion delights, Chinese Bhel and Cashew Nut Pakora, for instance. A must try, however, are the many foreign delicacies for which, much like the beers, the ingredients have been sourced from their native countries, like the Bratwurst sausage, Rotkohl, which is a German sausage that goes well with the German Lager. Taiwanese lobster is another delicacy that pairs perfectly with Strong Wheat Beer. The exquisite menu also features sweet delicacies, which have been made using crafted beers like the fusion version of Tiramisu and Brownie in the form of Beeramisu and Boozy Oreo Brownie.—TNS
