Chupke Chupke, one more time
The hit comedy film of 1975, Chupke Chupke, featuring Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bhaduri, Asrani, Om Prakash and many others, is considered as one of the most entertaining films of Bollywood. Now, this classic is all set to get a remake and the talented Rajkummar Rao will step into Dharmendra’s shoes for the new one. Talking about reprising the role of Dr Parimal Tripathi in the remake, Rajkummar Rao shares, “It’s a big responsibility to step into Dharmendra’s shoes. The scripting is underway now. We know that we can’t match Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s (director of the original movie) standards, but we will try and put our best foot forward.”
The actor was in news recently for moving out of Dostana 2. Rao says he was offered the film but was not able to do it because of other commitments and non-availability of dates. The actor is currently busy in promoting his upcoming venture Made In China, which also stars Mouni Roy, Boman Irani and Paresh Rawal. The film will clash with the biggies like Housefull 4 and Saand Ki Aankh.
