Television actor Rohit Bakshi (you surely remember him as Piyush from Kahiin To Hoga) tries to adopt and practice a simple sustainable no-nonsense attitude towards health and fitness. Any form of exercise, low carb and high protein diet and lots of water. Simple!

The TV actor, soon to be seen in a new show, Shaktipeeth Ke Bhairav on BIG Magic (he is excited about getting to play Bhairav after a long gap on television), talks big about the small lifestyle changes. “Always take time out for workouts plus eat healthy as I feel fitness is a lifestyle, not a trend.”

Well said there. Let’s hear more from him.

Some simple diet rules

I eat more carbs during the day, especially for breakfast, followed by lunch. Then dinner is a no-carb and protein-high diet. My carbs involve one slice of bread with egg/brown poha etc. Lunch includes one chapatti with salad, a veggie portion and chicken. As for dinner, it is salad, boiled eggs or chicken.

My day begins with…

Two glasses of lukewarm water.

My weaknesses

Kaju katli and Bounty chocolate.

Gym— whenever, wherever

Yes, I am a gym person. I try to go as much I can. It just keeps me energetic, feeling good and staying positive.  A morning session in the gym helps me to take on the day .

An open letter to youngsters

Workout could be in any form. It doesn’t necessarily mean or involve going to the gym.
