My husband Saurabh Devendra Singh is my best friend. I remember when we became friends initially, my mother had to undergo a surgery and I had no help. Saurabh flew back to Delhi from abroad, took leave from his office just to be by my side. This was just after knowing each other for three months. I knew he was a friend for life!

One of my closest friends has been Aashka Goradia. Our friendship goes back to 12 years ago. She has been a saviour so many times for me, especially when I was delivering my baby. She was there, holding my hand and telling me that I was brave. She had even pushed my frightened husband into the delivery room to see my baby and me after the whole process!

My best friend is Aruna Shetty. I met her in 1983 at NSD and we have been friends for almost 33 years. We have faced a lot of ups and downs from Delhi to Mumbai, but have been together. She was senior to me and always advised me as I was naughty; she used to scold me too.

When I think of friends, the two names that immediately come to my mind are Ssudeep Sahir and Vivek Dahiya. I really can’t think of any particular incident but while Vivek has taught me how to be patient, Ssudeep has taught me nothing; it’s me who is always teaching him!

Rohit Purohit is my close buddy. We hail from the same city, Jaipur, so it makes the bond all the more special. I am just a phone call away for him and vice versa. We can talk anything under the sun. Rohit is one of the best-looking actors and a good singer too. As we both like music, we have karaoke sessions together.
