Friends in need...
In conversation with Sangeeta Sivaram on Zoom’s Yaar Mera Superstar-Season 2, Dil Junglee’s star cast comprising Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem got candid on the great bond they share as friends and co-actors. They reminisced their first meeting where Saqib was his chivalrous best and gave up his window seat and non-vegetarian meal on a plane for Taapsee. Being a hardcore non-vegetarian, who ate non-veg food in all three meals for 12 years, this was a big sacrifice for Saqib to give up his love for meat to break the ice with Taapsee.
They both have a lot of respect for each other with Saqib loving Taapsee’s sarcastic humour and Taapsee being in awe of Saqib’s energy level and his ability to entertain everyone on the set. Taapsee says that Saqib is the best co-actor she has worked with so far. Well, it looks like apart from sharing a great on-screen chemistry, the two of them have hit it off in real life as well.
