As Lok Sabha Elections 2019 have begun in different states, Bollywood celebrities have been urging people to use their right to vote. Alia Bhatt, who has a large fan following, too took to Twitter and requested people to cast their vote. However, it turns out to be that the actress wouldn’t be voting herself.
In a recent interview, when asked Alia about her take on elections, she said, “I can’t vote.”
Reportedly, Alia is not an Indian citizen as she holds a British passport. Alia said, “Unfortunately, I can’t vote because I have a British passport. I am past the date this time around, but I will try and get my voting card the next time.”
