Hindi Medium’s 2.0 on the cards?

Irrfan Khan-starrer Hindi Medium was one of the hit films released in 2017. Directed by Saket Chaudhary, the film also starred Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal in vital roles. Reportedly, the sequel for the film will go on the floors in August this year. Irrfan Khan will continue his role as Raj Batra in the film. Saba Qamar, who played Irrfan’s wife in the film, had said that she wishes to be a part of the sequel. She said, “After the massive success of Hindi Medium, the producers are all set for a sequel. I hope Irrfan and I get to work in the second installment of the blockbuster.”

According to sources, the story flash-forwards by a decade so five-year-old Pia will be in her teens now. The story will be a fresh take on the Indian educational system with little reference to the original. However, director Saket Chaudhary has denied the sequel to the film as he is not the part of the sequel. We would love to see a sequel to Hindi Medium!
