My journey has been very good.  After winning Zee Cine Awards for Best Female Playback Singer in 2018 and giving my best songs Ishq De Fanniyar, Tu Hi Hai, Jia O Jia, Jinne Saah and many more, I am proud to be called a multi-talented singer!

Who has been your biggest support in pursuing music?

My family; they have always supported me. What I am today is due to their blessings.

Kids in the show belong to different regions of India and their taste in music is also diverse. I just aspire to help these kids excel in their singing and not only win the show, but also hearts of the audiences.

How easy or difficult it is to choose a different voice?

Our role is tough, but we have to train and make them feel comfortable on the show. We along with the judges are working hard for this show.

Do these reality shows really help a singer in the tinsel world?

I think it helps definitely because Superstar Singer is a big platform for the kids. The singers get instant recognition from it.

What is your favourite medium — TV or films?

It is because of Bollywood that I am here. But television has also given me name and fame. So, both are my favourites right now.

You are from Jalandhar. What do you miss about your city in Mumbai?

I am Punjabi; I miss Punjabi food like chana bhatura and kulcha naan in Mumbai.

What’s your fitness regimen?

Work keeps me busy, but I exercise daily to keep myself fit.
