What do you want in life? Some of us would say money, for some it would be fame, some would say they are seeking love and some would answer good health. But why do we want all these?

Because what we are ultimately searching for is happiness. If I get this promotion, I’d be the happiest. On purchase of that car, I’ll be happy. If I find the love of my life, it’ll make me the happiest.... the list is endless but the result is one—happiness!

There are people who have money, fame, love or health but they are not necessarily happy. So, how to be happy? You can find the answer to this question in Happiness Express, a book written by author duo Khurshed Batliwala and Dinesh Ghodke. While Khurshed is an MSc in mathematics from IIT-Bombay, Dinesh is a BTech in metallurgy and material science from the same institute. It weren’t these degrees that helped them find happiness but making others find happiness is what worked for them. These international Art of Living teachers are a favourite among youngsters all across and it is this love that motivated them to pen down their experience of 27 years into a book, which is backed by scientific principles and research. “This book is a journey to everyday well-being. We want and seek happiness but manage to get it only in spurts. It’s on birthdays, anniversaries, promotions and other such occasions. But the fact is happiness is an everyday event. And you can make it yours by paying some attention to sleep, food, exercise and meditation. We have given some simple, doable tips and facts in the book to make you a master of your happiness. These tips are supported by videos on our YouTube channel where they can find practical applications of the guidelines,” explains Dinesh Ghodke with an infectious smile.

He says continuous learning is the key to staying young and vibrant. Compiling this book took the duo two years and they felt compelled to do it after getting a rave review to their last - Ready, Study, Go. “If Ready, Study, Go focuses on smart ways to learn, Happiness Express centres on smart ways to live. It has a lot of science that’s lucid. There is reference to Indian spirituality wherever needed and these facts make it different from other self-help books. Bring a slight change in your perspective and you’ve won the game. For instance, instead of thinking more money or materialistic wealth will make you happy, first be happy and then see how easy it becomes for you to acquire wealth, love or all that you wish for,” says Khurshed.

The book gives a lowdown on how to meditate, what’s eating healthy all about, how moving the body helps keep the mind happy and the importance of sleep hygiene. Adapt all this and become a happiness attracting magnet. So, what’s the wait? Grab your copy.
