The star cast of Punjabi movie Kake Da Viyah was present in Ludhiana on Saturday. Veteran actress of Punjabi cinema Preeti Sapru is all set comeback after 17 years with Kake Da Viyah movie as the central character, starring Jordan Sandhu as the lead hero. Former Miss India Punjab Navpreet Kaur is in the supporting role and Prabhjot Grewal as the lead heroine is making a debut with this film.

Sharing her experience, Preeti Sapru said, “At first I felt awkward when I received the call for the movie. But when I heard the script, I readily accepted the movie. I owe this comeback to my Punjabi fans who kept asking me to return. This role is different for me as I have not done many comedy films.”

Sapru added, “The film industry has evolved ever since. Earlier we used to have the lower budget and had to complete movie in quick span but now you have the liberty as the budget has amplified. I purchase movie make up, which I stopped using for a long time. It was altogether a new experience while working in the film.”

Speaking of today’s generation in Punjabi cinema, Sapru said, “I see young women dressed up in western dresses in the award functions, which I feel is not the reflection of our Punjabi culture. Wearing western is not wrong but we should not forget our roots. Even in films, if we are showing a ping girl, it should not be too glamorous as village girls in Punjab have sweetness and innocence.”
