With multiple Miss Universe titles Sushmita Sen (1994) and Lara Dutta (2000), our female models have made India proud globally. Our male models too have continued the legacy at Mr. World and Mister Supranational pageant with the victories of Rohit Khandelwal (2016) and Prathamesh Maulingkar (2018). Now, it’s time for the fresh batch to take over. The finale of Miss Diva Universe was held in Mumbai on Thursday night and winners were unveiled in a star-studded ceremony.
Vartika Singh from Lucknow won the coveted title of Miss Diva Universe and will now represent India at the World’s most prestigious beauty pageant - Miss Universe 2019. Vartika has been a part of her State’s World Bank’s Health Care Project. She has been awarded by Uttar Pradesh government for her initiatives on nutrition and health of women and children, and been instrumental in promoting digital literacy. She is also the face of ‘Mera Lucknow’ Project and believes in the non-violence ideology of Mahatma Gandhi. Vartika leads her own NGO in the name of Pure Humans. She is also the face of a lot of fashion brands, besides being the Kingfisher calendar girl in 2017.
The other two winners were Shefali Sood as Miss Diva Supranational 2019 and Varun Verma as Mr India Supranational 2019. The event was flagged off by Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut.
