Newbie Evelyn Sharma is on a roll. As if three films in her kitty weren’t enough, she’s currently also seen on travel show Like Main Ek Baar. Taking time off from shooting in Malaysia, Evelyn talks to us on juggling the small and the big screen.

What made you accept Life Mein Ek Baar?

I have been getting so many offers for TV shows lately, but unfortunately my busy schedule didn't allow me to take up any. I would have loved to be on Jhalak this season! However, when I was approached for Life Mein Ek Baar, I loved the concept so much that I immediately cleared my schedule for the next three weeks to shoot with FOX in Thailand!

How challenging was the show?

The show has such a positive format of four girls going on the trip of their life, that it really felt more like an amazing vacation than work!

What did you like the most or were scared of the most?

I am a total adrenaline junkie so I was most excited about flying a gyrocopter! It's a small helicopter which is open on both sides! Wow it was so scary at first because I am really afraid of heights, but then when I took over the steering wheel, it felt like I could achieve anything I wanted! It was an immense feeling of accomplishment and I am so thankful for having had the opportunity to try out something so amazing at least life mein ek baar!

How was the bonding with the other three girls on the show?

At first, I was a bit afraid to go on a show and such a long vacation with three strangers. I am quite anti-social and open up to people very slowly. But on the first day of the show we went for cliff diving and the four of us knew we were going to be friends forever! If you share such exhilarating moments together it creates an instant bond!

You have three films in your kitty; how different are the characters that you are playing in them?

In the comedy movie Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, I will play my favourite character: the sexy NRI girl next door (opposite Sunny Leone). In the musical love story Ishqedaariyan opposite Mithun Chakraborty's son Mahaakshay, I will be seen purely from my Punjabi side as a simple small town girl from Himachal.

And in the thriller Dannk, I play a troubled young girl. This is going to be my first female lead centric movie and I am super excited to start shooting for it!

Who do you look up to in the Hindi film industry?

I look up to many people who have achieved greatness in their life and fulfilled their own dreams. I admire Priyanka Chopra a lot for where she has reached today! She is a fantastic actress, fashion icon and a pop star too!

A role you are dying to do?

I just love comedy movies and could do them for the rest of my life. But my greater love is for costume films and period dramas! I really hope to get a role like that very soon!

How is the shooting Kuch Kuch Locha Hai in Malaysia? How are Sunny Leone and Ram Kapoor as co-stars?

They are both super sweet and fun to work with. Ram sir always has a joke at hand and gives me fantastic acting tips. And Sunny... Well who wouldn't like looking at such a pretty girl every day!

How’s Evelyn in real life?

What next?

As I continue to shoot for films, I am also planning to release a new song from my upcoming album soon and continue designing for my clothing line!
