The movie, based on the auto-biography of writer and journalist Mintu Gurusariya , Dakuan Da Munda has received a good response from the audience. The flick was released last week. Gurpreet Bhullar, who has written the dialogues of the movie, has every reason to cheer.
Hailing from Rasaldar Channa village of Sangrur district, Gurpreet says, “It is a special feeling when you see your name on the 70 mm screen. I am happy that the movie has received a good response from the audience. Dialogues are the most important aspect of any movie because the audience always notices them and I am happy that I have managed to justify my job.”
He adds, “Earlier, I had written dialogues for a movie, Rang Punjab. Some artistes, including Jagjeet Sandhu, had seen my work and they recommended my name for the movie. Thereafter, I wrote sample dialogues. My director Mandeep Benipal liked my work and gave me a platform to work on.”
Before working in the movies, Gurpreet has also worked with a North America-based news channel as an anchor. He also wrote news scripts for the channel. He joined a news channel after finishing his graduation from Punjabi University, Patiala.
Talking about his upcoming projects, he said, “There are a number of movies in the pipeline, including Kaka Ji and a sequel of a Punjabi movie that I am working on. Be it writing dialogues or screenplay, it needs patience. Hard work always pays off.”
