The master story teller Sanjay Leela Bhansali is back with romantic drama Malaal. His niece Sharmin Segal makes her debut in Bollywood with Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Meezan. Sharmin has earlier worked as an assistant director with Bhansali Productions on several films including Bajirao Mastani. Sanjay has also launched star kids Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya. The expectations are great from Malaal lead stars. Sanjay Leela Bhansali signed Meezaan, veteran actor Jagdeep Jaafri’s grandson and Jaaved Jaaferi’s son. Meezaan who has been an assistant director on Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and has trained in theater acting and martial arts. With this film Mangesh Hadawale also makes his directorial debut.
The film is a contemporary love story between two very different people from contrasting backgrounds who experience the innocence of love. Does their love find its destination or do they part ways? How their relationship from a tiff transitions into passionate romance and separation is what this Love drama is all about. A perfect rom-com expected from Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
