TV series Mom has been renewed for a sixth season by the CBS network. The comedy series, starring Anna Faris and Allison Janney, has logged solid numbers during its fifth season. The series has averaged 11 million viewers per episode this season, making it the top five series in adults (18-49) category and the third most-watched comedy on broadcast TV.
Mom revolves around the life of a woman and her adult daughter, who are both recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. Janney has earned two supporting comedy actress Emmys for her work as Bonnie in the series. The series airs on Comedy Central in India.
