Punjabi film, Sat Shri Akaal England, is about Major German Singh Mann, who dreams about going abroad. After several failed attempts at migrating to his ‘dream country’ England, he seeks the expertise of a local agent Boota Singh, who advises him to get married to a British girl Geet Kahlon. Mann falls for the “fake marriage” and soon moves to England. Later, German finds out that Geet and her boyfriend, Ricky, are in the ‘marriage of convenience’ business and they later get married too. On the other hand, UK Immigration officials come knocking on their door, suspecting a case of fraud marriage. What follows is a series of lies. Vikram Pradhan, director of the film, has also written its screenplay. It has been produced by Sagoon Wagh and Nick Bahl.

Good subject

I like Ammy Virk. He’s acted really well in this film too, but I didn’t like the subject very much.

Hilarious Choocha

I like the film and Choocha’s character. He’s absolutely hilarious. The plot is good, but it is slightly stretchy. —Japjeet Kaur, Student

So interesting

It’s an interesting film. I like Bholi Panjaban’s character very much and Choocha is an all-time favourite. —Harit Sharma, student

Engaging plot

Fukrey Returns is probably not as good as its prequel, or so I feel because the first part of this series was quite hilarious and its plot was more engaging. —Deepika Singh, Student
