What’s the reason to jump from television to web space?

I wanted to learn and explore something new, explore a different character so I decided to do this web series.

How difficult/easy it was shooting for three shows simultaneously?

Shooting for three different shows simultaneously was fun and an equally challenging experience. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is a sweet family drama, while The Voice is a reality show that I thoroughly enjoyed hosting, but had to stand and shoot for 14-18 hours at a stretch and lastly, Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala is a completely different show.

How was it pairing up with Rajeev Khandelwal?

I knew I was paired opposite a star who has worked in films, television and the web space and who is, of course, a fabulous actor.

Tell us about your character

I play a character named Nitya, who is a chef. She’s a strong-headed individual.

OTT is considered a bold medium, are you ready for it?

I am not really ready for the bold content. People are experimenting in the web space with various genres like sex, crime, mystery thrillers, themes and stories. However, there are romantic dramas which are also doing well on the platforms and Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala will definitely be one such example.

How was the experience?

It’s a great experience. The process took a lot of time but the team was very passionate about the show. It was a delight working with Pradeep dada (director Pradeep Sarkar).
