Pankaj Tripathi joins 83
Directed by Kabir Khan, upcoming movie 83 is headlined by Ranveer Singh who plays legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. The movie chronicles the Indian cricket team’s historic win against West Indies in the 1983 Cricket World Cup tournament.
Currently, the film is in its casting stage and the cast is getting bigger and better with each passing day. The latest actor to join the ensemble star cast of 83 is Pankaj Tripathi. He will play the role of PR Man Singh, the team’s manager in the film.
Confirming the news, Pankaj says that he was always inspired by Kabir Khan’s films and is looking forward to work with him.
Meanwhile, the makers are yet to announce the name of the female lead, who will play Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia. Recently, there were reports that Deepika Padukone was being considered for the character. However, it turned out to be just a rumour. The film, produced by Reliance Entertainment, is slated to hit screens on April 10, 2020.
