Lisa Kudrow, who is best known for the iconic TV show FRIENDS, recently opened up on how she struggled to get into the role of Phoebe Buffay initially in the popular sitcom. During her appearance on Kevin Nealon’s show Hiking with Kevin, Lisa admitted that she had difficulty in her earlier years on the show.
The actress said, “I had played dumb girls but it wasn’t really me. I tricked them in the audition. I was the only one who could cope with the audition process and that’s how I got it, I think. So, I had to work hard at being Phoebe.”
The 56-year-old said she was ‘struggling’ to play the role until the third season and her co-star Matt LeBlanc helped her. She also added that she herself hasn’t seen much part of the show so she wouldn’t really know when thing started lightening up for her.
