Date hassle
Katrina Kaif had to opt out of Remo Dsouza’s Street Dancer because of date issues. The actress has committed her time for the Salman Khan-starrer Bharat. Shraddha Kapoor was brought in as a replacement and will star opposite Varun Dhawan in this film which is said to be the third instalment of ABCD.
In the space
The upcoming biopic based on the life of first Indian man in space, Rakesh Sharma, produced by Ronnie Screwvala, was to star Shah Rukh Khan as the lead. But, according to latest reports, it is now being said that actor Ranbir Kapoor is in the running and that the makers are looking on to sign the actor for the film. The makers are set to make an announcement soon.
Nepotism wars
It was a big shocker for renowned actress Taapsee Pannu when she was randomly replaced in Juno Chopra’s Pati Patni Aur Woh. The makers of the film announced that the film would star Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and newcomer Ananya Pandya. Taapsee had even shared her displeasure over the development at a public event.
Fit for the role
Vicky Kaushal will be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Udham Singh biopic which was to be earlier played by Irrfan Khan. Khan is back in India post his cancer treatment and will soon start shooting for another film. He did not want to be a part of a film that would be physically tiring, thus it was mutually decided between Irrfan and Shoojit to look for a replacement. With Vicky’s Uri doing fabulously at the Box Office, this replacement seems just the best.
Effects of Pulwama attack
In the wake of the terror attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, the All-Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) announced a total ban on Pakistani actors and artistes working in Indian film industry. As an effect to this, Salman Khan has replaced Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s song from upcoming production Notebook. We also hear even the Pakistani A-lister Saba Qamar, who played female lead in Hindi Medium, will be replaced in the second instalment of the film by Kareena Kapoor Khan.
